Booheads Headshot Photography

Chris Giles

Hi all, this is the part of my site where I'm supposed to tell you that I have a personality, that I don't have a criminal record and that I'm completely trustworthy....

So in order to swerve answering the above I'd like to let you know more about myself and where I'm at with Headshot photography.

Harvey the WestieI live in a little house, with my fiance Laura, with a little dog and a little studio.

I'm a full time professional photographer, it's all I do. Headshots though are not my main source of income (weddings take that title).

I do headshots because I just flat out enjoy it.

I'm slighly in awe of anyone who's in the entertainment industry and much respect goes to someone who can stand up on stage in front of several hundred people.

I also have an assistant called Harvey (image right). He doesn't do a lot but really adds to the shoot!

I like to chat too, whilst relatively shy by nature I don't hide behind the camera talking under my breath and always engage those who I have the pleasure of working with.

Because I do this for the love of it my prices are the lowest in their class for the quality I deliver. I'm very proud of the work I complete and will always do my very best to make sure anyone who comes here leaves happy.

Generally, nobody really likes having their picture taken. It's a psychological thing for most that is difficult to get over. I'm mindful of this which is why I don't have a set time limit and only book one session per day. No rush, no pressure, no problem.

Because of my 'assistant' the first thing that happens is I ask if you are scared of dogs, some are, (so Harvey goes elsewhere away from us, plays Xbox, whatever it is he does when I'm not looking).... Then the kettle goes on and we'll spend a few minutes looking at what you're existing shots are like and how we can improve on them then we'll move into the studio.

Then we'll decide if you'd like studio light, natural light or both and then I'll take over 200 images for you to choose from at home for final editing and delivery.

The whole approach to the shoot is pragmatic and is meant to be an experience.

The thing is, you know, whilst it's serious stuff you should still  enjoy your time here.

Below are some testimonials,

I never ask for them but they are good to receive.

'I have never enjoyed a headshot shoot as much as I have with Chris @ Chris Giles is professional, incredibly good at putting you at ease and has provided me with some of my best ever images.Superstar.'

'An excellent session with Chris - he made me feel at ease which I think shows in the photos. He also understood my needs very clearly and took many shots to get the right looks. Check him out!'

'Chris Giles puts you at ease straight away. He takes time discussing what you want from your photos.'

' I have been to a few photographers before, and none were as relaxed, chilled out, as well as being professional, as Chris was. I was hugely impressed, he made me feel completely at ease considering there was a camera in my face. I never felt rushed, and the end results were excellent. Next time I need my headshots updating there's only one place I am going.'

'Chris did my head shots for Spotlight. As usual I left having new 'actor' photos to the last minute. However Chris is a great photographer, is incredibly efficient and reasonably priced and, despite the deadline my photos were ready in plenty of time. Chris has a very relaxed manner, puts you at your ease, and is also very good at listening and working with you to get the shots you need. Because of this I really enjoyed the photo shoot and ended up with a great choice of photographs.'
